Well, my original plan was to leave one job, and take some time off before starting the new job; however, due to a mix-up on the separation paperwork - no, full disclosure - it’s due to my having written in the wrong date - the State of California now considers me unemployed, which is not cool at all, health care-wise (for instance), so ::sigh:: wish me luck today as I go hammer contritely knock on a few doors.
