I’m sure this is a classic, or a twist of a classic, classically done by goliard.
It’s the the line ‘sell my soul for a drop of rain’, that seems so familiar. There’s a song by the Temptations called ‘I wish it would rain’ and goliard’s sentence reminds me very much of that song.
Either way, it’s bloody good. And, yes, I’d sell my soul for a drop it rain.
